OK, this is actually more of a financial video rather than an electronics video, but it made me think about just general trade issues, including as a forum where people from all over are buying electronics in different currencies and paying providers in different parts of the world (and the rate exchange arbitrage can really add up). Also fascinating to see how electronics operate in the market in Nigeria.

Very similar to East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, etc…). I can’t speak to what it’s like now but circa 2009 through about 2014 the markets and recent grads seemed to be forcused like this.
Generally Eastern countries skipped land lines so reworking mobiles in any location and sending $$$ via phone was common even among those in the most modest of circumstances. The US felt so quaint by comparison.
