Question tweezers

Storing electronic tweezers closed with the plastic protection on the nozzle for many years will cause misalignment, loss of pressure, and deformation in the electronic tweezers? Generally, tweezers are somewhat open.

If you have concerns, I suggest fabricating a custom protection cover for your tweezers that keeps them in a position that does not cause you to worry about these things.

I’m not a mechanical engineer or material scientist, but don’t you need to climb the yield curve into the plastic deformation zone in order for there to be permanent shape alteration to metal? For spring steel, you won’t be in that part of the curve even with the tweezers closed completely flat. AFAIK, metal doesn’t “creep” like plastic does under load over time.
