I’ve found 200gsm vellum cuts brilliantly with a diode laser - very clean. So far I’ve managed to cut down to 0.5mm pitch parts.
And I’ve written an extension for Inkscape to make solder stencils a bit quicker. Export from KiCad, it adjusts the pad sizes, then you can send straight to a laser cutter or Cameo/Cricut.
